What it is
Dermal fillers are smooth gels based on hyaluronic acid — a substance your skin already produces and loses as you age. I use them to refill areas that have flattened over time and to soften static lines: the ones still visible when your face is completely relaxed. Different densities suit different areas, from fine lines to deeper structural support, and I choose accordingly.
How it works
Placed precisely beneath the skin, the gel adds support where volume has been lost — restoring cheek definition, lifting the mid-face, refining the chin and jawline, or smoothing the lines that run from nose to mouth. The effect is to bring the face back into proportion rather than to change it. Individual results vary depending on the area treated and your own skin.
What to expect
Treatment is comfortable, with numbing where needed, and you see a difference straight away. Some swelling or small bruises are normal for a few days while everything settles into place. Results are long-lasting but not permanent — fillers in these areas typically last in the region of six months before the body gradually absorbs them, after which a top-up maintains the look.

Common questions
Will it look obvious or overdone?
Not the way I treat. I work to restore your own proportions and balance, so the result reads as ‘rested and well’ rather than ‘had something done’. Individual results vary, and we plan conservatively together.
How long do dermal fillers last?
They are long-lasting but temporary — typically around six months in these areas before the body gradually breaks the product down. Nothing is permanent, and we maintain at a pace that suits you.
Which areas can be treated?
Commonly the cheeks, mid-face, chin and jawline, and nose-to-mouth lines. At consultation we look at your face as a whole and decide where, if anywhere, filler genuinely adds something.
Is there much downtime?
Very little. Some swelling or minor bruising for a few days is normal, and most people return to their routine the same day.
